Wildcard Character In Excel

In this video, we are going to learn How to use wildcard characters in Excel with the Find and Replace option.
In Excel, there are three types of wildcard characters.
* Asterisk
? Question mark
~ Tilde

When to use ” * ” (asterisk)?
find or replace any character and any number of character

When to use ” ? ” (Question mark)?
find or replace any character and given number of character

When to use ” ~ ” (tilde)?
to remove the wildcard effect from ” * ” and ” ? “
